An August Update From Your Friend, Ronit!

My Latest Book Updates

I was thrilled when The Mighty named my new memoir When She Comes Back one of the “Best True Crime Books of 2021,” and I am thrilled all over again to be included by Shafeeka Hafeez in her Gutsy Creative piece.

“Three Powerful Memoirs from Underground Authors Booklovers Should Read.” Not only is this a lovely review, but my book is also alongside Lilly Dancyger and Jeannine Ouellette, two authors I greatly admire.

Upcoming Appearances

Over the next few weeks, I’ll have the opportunity to share what it has been like to get When She Comes Back in front of readers, how self-discovery can inform writing, and what I’ve learned through publishing so much of my family’s story.

Podcast News & Updates

My Podcast And Then Everything Changed just flew past the 30,000 downloads mark! Thank you for subscribing and telling your friends about my podcast. Because of you, the show keeps on growing and growing!

It’s a privilege to be able to share these stories of resilience and compassion, to get closer to lived experiences that are so different from our own and yet, in many ways, can feel so similar.

When I started this podcast in October 2019, I had no idea I’d have the good fortune to meet dozens and dozens of reflective and courageous people and that today And Then Everything Changed would be nearing its hundredth episode.

Here are a few of my upcoming episodes featuring some pretty incredible public figures! Be sure to subscribe to my Podcast on Apple Podcasts, Spotify, and Google Podcasts!

I’m pleased to bring you episode 91 Weed Mom featuring Danielle Simone Brand, author of Weed Mom: The Canna-Curious Woman’s Guide to Healthier Relaxation, Happier Parenting, and Chilling TF Out. Danielle will help shatter any stereotypes you might have about cannabis with her wit, accessibility, and warmth.

A veteran who initially didn’t realize he had PTSD, Scott ultimately understood the toll combat took on his mental health. So as he transitioned to a career in law enforcement, he made it his mission to help curb the high suicide rate among police officers and get them the support they need.

Episode 93 will be out on 8/17 and is a 2-part episode featuring Joanna Rakoff, author of My Salinger Year and A Fortunate Age! Would you please join me for this deep dive into Joanna’s life, her experience as an author, and how fate brought her and her second husband together?

I will write again next month. Until then, thank you so much for being here, and if you have episode ideas or feedback, please get in touch!
